Art at the Oak Lawn Library

For a number of years, the Oak Lawn Library Friends had wanted to create a space for artists.   Starting in 2004, the Oak Lawn Library  hosted a couple of art shows.  Then we funded a hanging system which allowed local artists to display their art year round in the library.

Beginning in 2007, we began an annual juried art show in the fall during the month of October.  The remaining 11 months of the year are set aside for local artists on a first come first serve basis.  Any artist may display their work at no charge and there is no commission on any art that is sold at the library.
